Understanding Payments on HelloCity

HelloCity serves as a platform to connect travelers with local service providers. Please note that we do not process or collect any payments for services. All financial arrangements and transactions are conducted directly between the guest and the service provider.

To better understand  how payments work, please watch the video provided below.

Pricing & Cancellation Policy

This Pricing and Cancellation Policy applies to www.hellocity.io, operated by HelloCity LLC (hereinafter "HelloCity" or "we").

Please note that HelloCity is a platform that connects travelers with local service providers. We do not process or collect any payments for services. All financial arrangements and transactions are made directly between the guest and the service provider. By using HelloCity's services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept the terms of this policy. If you do not agree with these terms, we kindly ask that you refrain from using our services.

Published Rate, Customized Offer, and Payments

On HelloCity, service providers have the freedom to determine and publish an estimated rate for their services when they create their listing. This rate provides an idea of the service fee you can expect to pay when considering their offering.

When a service provider receives a booking request, they are empowered to evaluate it and then create a customized offer specifically for you. This final offer will typically include their service rate along with any additional agreed-upon expenses, such as transportation costs, participant fees, entrance fees, food and drink, or necessary third-party services.

All payments for services are made directly by the guest to the service provider at the time of the meeting, unless both parties mutually agree to an alternative payment arrangement beforehand. HelloCity does not collect any fees from guests or service providers and is not involved in the financial transaction. Service providers and guests are free to use any payment method they prefer (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, cash, etc.) for these direct payments.

While we don't handle payments, we strongly recommend using our free booking system to finalize your agreement. This ensures a clear record of what has been expected and agreed upon by both the traveler and the local service provider, providing a firm foundation for a successful meetup.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be inconvenient for both service providers and guests, though we understand emergencies can occur. As HelloCity does not process or collect payments, our cancellation policy applies to the booking agreement facilitated through our platform, not to any financial transactions. Any financial resolution for cancellations or no-shows is determined directly between the service provider and the guest.

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, you should first attempt to reschedule your appointment directly with your service provider. If rescheduling is not possible, please initiate a cancellation by sending them a message using the HelloCity messaging system, and also send a copy of your cancellation request to support@hellocity.io.

Guest Cancellation: If a guest cancels their booking, the terms for any financial implications (e.g., refunds or fees for services already rendered or agreed upon for direct payment) are determined solely by the agreement between the guest and the service provider. HelloCity does not manage these financial aspects. We strongly advise guests and service providers to discuss and agree upon their own cancellation terms for payments when they finalize their custom offer.

Service Provider Cancellation: If a service provider cancels a confirmed booking, any financial resolution (e.g., refunding a prior payment if one was agreed upon directly) is solely between the service provider and the guest.

No Show

In the event of a "No Show" (failure to arrive at the agreed time of booking) or "Late Arrival" (more than 30 minutes late) by either a service provider or a guest, please email support@hellocity.io within 24 hours after the scheduled end of the meeting to document the incident. While HelloCity does not manage financial entitlements, this communication helps us maintain records and can be helpful should any disputes arise directly between the parties. We encourage both parties to communicate any delays or no-shows promptly via the HelloCity messaging system.
